What makes Hook Productions unique?

    We aren't just your DJ, we are your Production Team, whoa, I know! It kinda sounds like a big deal, well, that's because it is. We oversee and manage your music for your event and take great pride in working together as a team. Your first interaction with Hook Productions will be with me, Sheena. You can call me your "Production Coordinator". I will take care of the formalities and details so that your party/reception will be everything you plan it to be. By working together like this it takes the pressure off of Randy allowing him to focus 100% on customizing a playlist for your event. Ultimately we are able to host your reception with style, excitement and passion while showcasing your vision and dreams....all through music.

What can you expect from Sheena?

    As your "Production Coordinator" I will be handling your booking and contract and also guiding you through our "Wedding Ceremony & Reception Planners". This will start you in your music selection process and walk you through every major moment of your day. I will also help you create the itinerary for all musical events and make sure you and all other key players are ready when the times comes.

    During your wedding I will be cueing Randy for your introductions, special announcements, spotlight dances, and handling all of the behind the scenes legwork. I will also keep all your vendors on the same page and make sure they are ready when special moments are coming up. I am your go to person.

What can you expect from Randy?

    Randy will be your event host, serves as your professional emcee and, of course, bring his talented DJ skills. He adds a modern twist to the traditional wedding. He will not be the center of attention on the mic or play cheesy music. He will not use an iPod. He will read the crowd and play the perfect music to fit the mood. He will seamlessly transition from dinner to dance party. He will leave you wanting more.

What services do you provide?

    We provide music and production coordination for any event, large or small. We specialize in weddings and can provide music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. 

    In conjunction with music services, we also offer full, partial, and day of event coordination and design. 

What is included with your packages?

    While each booking is unique, we do offer some basic services with all of our packages. With every booking we provide the following:

  • Randy & Myself, dressed to your specifications and we will always be setup and ready to play before your first guest arrives.
  • Our state of the art sound systems and back-up equipment, if necessary.
  • Professional lighting effects that will give your reception just the right energy and mood.
  • Wireless microphone for announcements and toasts.
  • Our extensive digital music library (over 120,000 songs).
  • A detailed itinerary to ensure that your day has a continuous flow and is stress free.

Can we choose our music?

    Absolutely! I will assist you with your music selections and requests. Just a little insight into your musical likes and dislikes will guide Randy. He will use his experience, vast music knowledge, excellent mixing skills and talent for reading a crowd to keep your dance floor packed through the night.

Can we come see you perform?

    Randy often performs at clubs, bars and other public events where you are welcome to drop by to check out his skills. Keep in mind that what he tends to spin at a bar or club is not necessarily the same that he would play at a wedding or private event. In the same sense, we do not have a video or clip from previous private events (specifically weddings) because we specialize in tailoring each event to the needs and wants of our clients. One client's dream of an all hip-hop wedding could potentially be your nightmare.

How far in advance should we book you?

    Typically, 12 to 9 months prior to your event. Keep in mind that in our region May, June, September and October are the most popular months for events, especially weddings.

What is your service area?

    We are based out of Fenwick Island, Delaware, but have provided services as far as Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

What are your policies and procedures?

    We do not book more than one event per day, rest assured that our attention is solely focused on you. When you book with us, you book Randy and I. You will never have another company employee or a subcontracted DJ show up as the entertainment for your event. This is our full-time job, so we are always available whether it be by phone, email, or in person.
